Minerba Convex 2025 to Host 65+ Mining Leaders

KELASTAMBANG: Minerba Convex 2025 will take place on October 15–16 at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), bringing together over 65 high-level speakers from government, industry, academia and investment.

The two-day conference and exhibition aims to serve as a strategic platform for shaping the future of the country’s mineral and coal industries, with a strong emphasis on sustainable mining practices, regulatory alignment, and downstream integration. APBI-ICMA confirmed its active involvement in organising the event and has called on all member companies to participate.

“This activity is a strategic forum that brings together various stakeholders – government, industry, academia, investors, associations, and the public – to jointly formulate the future direction of Indonesia’s mining sector,” the APBI-ICMA Secretariat stated on LinkedIn.

Among the key confirmed speakers are Bahlil Lahadalia (Minister of Investment), Yuliot (Deputy Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources), Tri Winarno (Director General of Mineral and Coal), Rosan Roeslani (Minister of Industry), and Rilke Jeffri Huwae (Director General of Law Enforcement at the Energy Ministry), alongside CEOs from major companies including PT Freeport Indonesia, PT Bukit Asam Tbk, PT ANTAM Tbk, PT Timah Tbk, and PT Vale Indonesia Tbk.

The forum will also feature speakers from professional associations such as the Indonesian Mining Association (IMA), the Association of Indonesian Mining Professionals (PERHAPI), the Indonesian Coal Mining Association (APBI-ICMA), the Indonesian Bauxite Association, and the Indonesian Nickel Miners Association (APNI), among others.

Technical experts and academics from institutions such as Gadjah Mada University, IPB University, and professional organisations like IAGI (Geological Experts Association of Indonesia) and MGEI (Exploration Geologists Society of Indonesia) are expected to contribute on policy formulation, mineral law, and technological development.

The conference agenda covers regulatory updates, energy transition alignment, investment strategies, and the downstream value chain in minerals. Sessions are expected to address the future of coal, critical minerals, advanced materials, and the legal and environmental frameworks governing mining operations.

In parallel with the conference, an industrial exhibition will showcase innovations in mining technology, equipment, services, and digitalisation initiatives aimed at improving operational efficiency and ESG compliance.

Online registration for Minerba Convex 2025 is currently open to the public free of charge via the official event portal (www.minerbaexpo.com). The event is expected to attract thousands of participants from across the Indonesian mining ecosystem and international observers.
