Running under the theme “Sustainability for Industrial Transformation,” the event follows the successful Construction & Engineering Week and covers five major exhibitions: Mining Indonesia, Oil & Gas Indonesia, Electric & Power Indonesia, the inaugural Battery Show Indonesia, and the debut of Data Center Asia – Indonesia. These exhibitions form a comprehensive supply chain ecosystem for the energy and engineering sectors.

“This year’s IEE spans more than 143,000 square meters and brings together over 2,000 companies from 42 countries,” said Lia Indriasari, Country Manager of Pamerindo Indonesia, during the opening ceremony. “It reflects global confidence in Indonesia as a hub for the energy and engineering industries in Southeast Asia.”

Lia emphasized that IEE’s business-to-business format has generated significant economic multiplier effects and aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs). “IEE is not just a business meeting point, but a platform that drives innovation, industry transition, and sustainable development,” she said.

The exhibitions represent the full value chain of the energy and engineering industries. The upstream segment includes mining, mineral extraction, and oil and gas, featuring environmentally friendly heavy equipment. The midstream segment highlights power generation, renewable energy, battery and energy storage technologies. The downstream focuses on data management and cloud infrastructure to support digital transformation and energy efficiency.

Dr. Siti Sumilah Rita Susilawati, S.T., M.Sc., Secretary of the Directorate General of Mineral and Coal at the Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry, officially opened the event. She highlighted the critical role of IEE Series in supporting Indonesia’s targets for Net Zero Emissions by 2060 and industrial downstreaming.

“Our natural resources are invaluable and must be managed wisely. Transformation is necessary, because the world is changing fast. Without transformation, we will be left behind,” said Dr. Siti Sumilah.

The debut of The Battery Show Indonesia marks the country’s first major platform for battery technology and energy storage systems, showcasing the nation’s rising investment in EV battery manufacturing. With renewable energy power capacity reaching 15.2 GW or 14.5 percent of the national total in 2025, the exhibition aims to support the government’s 2060 target of 700 GW.

Meanwhile, Data Center Asia – Indonesia addresses the growing need for energy-efficient digital infrastructure and low-emission cooling systems. Indonesia’s data center market is projected to grow at a 22 percent CAGR by 2028, driven by the expanding digital economy.

The exhibitions feature over 250 units of heavy equipment and industrial technologies displayed across indoor and outdoor spaces. Exhibitors include United Tractors, XCMG, GM Tractors, Zoomlion, Traktor Nusantara, SANY, and Shandong Heavy Industry, which represents brands such as Sinotruk, Lovol, Shantui, and Weichai.

An audience highlight is the Operator Championship, a competition that tests heavy machinery operators’ precision and skill. The contest features male and female categories, promoting inclusivity and gender equality in a traditionally male-dominated sector. IEE Series 2025 is open to the public free of charge, offering industry players, students, and technology enthusiasts a rare opportunity to experience cutting-edge industrial innovations in Jakarta’s city center. Virtual access is also available through the IEE VExpo platform.
