ABB to Launch APAC Energy Readiness Index in Jakarta

Kelastambang: ABB, the global technology company specializing in automation, digitalization, and electrification, is set to launch the Asia-Pacific (APAC) Energy Readiness Index 2025 in Jakarta on Wednesday (September 24). The event will provide fresh insights into how countries across the region — including Indonesia — are progressing toward energy transition goals.

The index, developed by ABB as part of a broader regional study, evaluates the readiness of APAC nations to accelerate their shift toward sustainable energy. The briefing will outline key findings from the study, emphasizing critical pillars shaping Indonesia’s energy future and offering a comparative view of regional trends.

The session will include a presentation by Abhinav Harikumar, Vice President of ABB’s Energy Industries division, Southeast Asia.

“In line with Indonesia’s Net Zero 2060 ambition and renewable energy capacity target of 42.6 GW by 2034, this survey will provide up-to-date insights on how businesses and policymakers can collaborate to meet sustainable energy goals,” ABB stated in the media invitation.

ABB’s launch of the index aims to support these national efforts with data-driven insights and promote dialogue across stakeholders on how to fast-track energy system transformation in the region.
